Larry Prestwich (1935 - 2023) knew he was an artist from a very young age. He received a B.A. in art from the University of Utah and an M.A. in art from Brigham Young University. Following his studies, he lived with his wife and seven children in Sterling, Colorado, where he taught art and art history at Northeastern Junior College for nearly 40 years.
His primary mediums include drawing, painting, and printmaking. Much of his work reflects his faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was also very inspired by the landscapes of Colorado, Utah, and the Normandy area of France, where he and his wife Anne served a two-year mission for the Church after his retirement.
Larry’s work is in multiple private collections and has been exhibited in various galleries in Colorado and Utah, most recently at the Springville Museum of Art.
